During the simulation, learners can request the necessary diagnostics, set the diagnosis and decide on the treatments and next steps for the patient from the “Diagnose & Treat” tab. There is always a default set of orderable items for each bundled patient, different for each Resource Set.

To review and customize the available items, you can access Diagnose & Treat from the ‘Resources’ tab of the Patient Editor:

*You can only customize the Diagnose & Treat items in your custom Resource Set.

Diagnose & Treat contains all relevant diagnostics, treatments, diagnoses, consultations, followups, etc. organized into 4 separate tabs:

  • Order Diagnostics: What diagnostic orders are needed to obtain a reliable diagnosis?

  • Set Diagnosis: What is the diagnosis of the patent?

  • Administer Treatments: What treatments should the patient receive right away?

  • Next Steps: What should the patient do after the visit?

Use the search bar to find specific items on each of the 4 tabs:

You can create a new item on each of the tabs by clicking on “Add Item”:

You can name the new item, add a description, images or embed videos in the editor, and associate a cost for that specific item:

To remove/delete an item from your Resource Set just click on the bin icon next to the item's name:

A Resource Bank is also available for each of the 4 tabs. You can use these banks to add further diagnostics, diagnoses, treatments, etc. without having to create them from scratch:

Add specific items by clicking on the checkboxes, then hit “Add Selected”. To add all items from the bank, click "Select All", then "Add Selected".
