ALEX/AXEL needs the internet to operate. If for any reason the connection needs to be set again (e.g. he’s been moved to a new location; he’s been out of use for a while, or you just want to change the network he’s using) you will need to revisit his connection settings.

The easiest and fastest way is using the tablet that came with him as it is paired with ALEX/AXEL and so automatically accesses its settings once the setup page is loaded.

  • Turn on ALEX/AXEL and wait until the power button is green;

  • Turn on the tablet;

  • On the tablet tap on Google Chrome to launch it. It'll automatically load the intuitive setup guide.

Pro tip: if for any reason the setup guide doesn’t load automatically, just visit the website (http://setup.pcs.ai) manually;

  • Then follow the setup guide instructions to define a connection (cable or wifi) for ALEX/AXEL;

  • Finally, log in with your PCS account details if required to control the unit.

If you don’t have a tablet, no worries. You can access ALEX/AXEL’s settings and control it from any other device (smartphone, laptop, computer) anytime.

  • Power on ALEX/AXEL;

  • Connect your device to his wifi signal (wifi signal named after your unit e.g. ALEX0123, or PCS0123)

Pro tip: good idea to make sure that only this wifi connection is active on this device for the time of setup (just switch off mobile internet or unplug any additional cable connections).

  • Then open Google Chrome and go to the website http://setup.pcs.ai manually

  • Follow the setup guide instructions to define a connection (cable or wifi) for ALEX/AXEL;

  • Finally, log in with your PCS account details if required to control the unit.
