Having trouble getting your microphone to work with PCS Spark?
Check that the correct microphone is selected for your browser and that our site (https://app.pcs.ai) isn't blocked from using your microphone.
(Extra tip: Trying with another headset can help rule out if hardware is faulty. Also, if you still can't hear anything, best check your playback device.)
What computer/device OS and browser are you on?
Windows / Chrome
In the Chrome menu, chose Chrome Settings > Privacy and Security > Settings > Permissions > Microphone.
Use the "Default - Microphone" drop down to select your preferred mic and check the "Block" and "Allow" sections.
Windows / MS Edge
In the Edge menu, chose Edge Settings > Settings > Cookies and site permissions > All permissions > Microphone.
Use the "Choose which microphone the browser can access" drop down to select your mic and check the "Block" and "Allow" sections.
Android / Chrome
Go to your Android Settings > Apps > Chrome > Permissions > Microphone.
Select to allow Chrome to access your microphone.
MacOS / Chrome
In the Chrome menu, chose Chrome > Preferences > Privacy and security > Site Settings > Permissions > Microphone.
Use the "Default - Microphone" drop down to select your preferred mic and check the "Block" and "Allow" sections.
MacOS / Safari
In your Safari menu, choose Safari > Preferences > Websites > Microphone.
Select to allow Safari to access your microphone.
iOS / Safari
Go to Settings > Safari Settings for websites > Microphone.
Select to allow Safari to access your microphone.
(Another pro tip: once done with browser settings / mic check, try the audio test again. If your recording playback still sounds like a robot, check our device performance (https://app.pcs.ai/performance), your internet speed and/or try with another / new microphone.)
