Did you know ALEX/AXEL includes a built-in Diagnose and Treat feature, including high resolution imaging, complete blood panels and much more? This tool allows learners to and take a full clinical approach—ordering diagnostics, analyzing results, making a diagnosis, and deciding on next steps, or just take a peek behind the curtains!
From the Diagnose and Treat tab, you and your students can:
Order Diagnostics – Choose from a collection of preset imaging, lab tests, and screening tools to gather more information about the patient.
Set a Diagnosis – Determine the correct diagnosis based on the available data.
Administer Treatments – Order medications and interventions as needed.
Plan Next Steps – Decide what follow-up care the patient requires after their visit.
Each available test, treatment, and diagnosis is customized to match the specific patient scenario running in your simulation. You can also combine this feature with the Bedside Station, allowing students to review items you request for them.
To access, simply click the Diagnose and Treat button on the left side of the screen.
