Chapter Six: Intubation and Ventilation Training

ALEX/AXEL allows your students to practice essential airway management techniques with realistic chest and stomach rise to indicate ventilation performance. The following procedures can be performed:

  • Head Tilt/Chin Lift & Jaw Thrust

  • Bag-Valve-Mask Ventilation

  • Orotracheal Intubation & Ventilation

  • Nasopharyngeal Airway Insertion

Recommended Airway Adjunct Sizes

For best fit and to prevent damage, use the recommended sizes below. Clinical guidelines for a 5'3" (160 cm) adult male, ~120 lbs. (54 kg) are provided as a reference.


​Notes:

  • Use only the recommended sizes to prevent airway damage.

  • Always lubricate airway devices before intubation (use included Nasco Lubricant).

  • Do not introduce fluids into the airway.
