All learner simulations are saved in the Simulation Archive. There are several ways to search or filter the archives, this article gives you detailed instructions on how to find sessions for a learner, a specific patient, dates or assignments, or any combination of these.

Sort the Archive

You can sort sessions by:

Click any column header (e.g. Patient scenario) to re-sort. When sorted by patient, sessions are listed alphabetically by patient name, then by session date. When sorted by learner, sessions are listed alphabetically by the learner first name, then by session date.

Filter the Archive

Filter by Assignment

To narrow down results:

  • Move to the Assignments tab.

  • Hover over the name of the assignment and click the magnifying glass icon.

  • (Optional) Select a specific patient with that assignment.

  • Move to the Archives tab for the simulations list.

This shows only the sessions completed by learners for that assignment and patient.

Search by Learner Name or Email

Use the search field to type a learner’s on the Archive tab:

  • Full name

  • Partial name

  • Email address

The session list updates automatically as you type.

Filter by Patient Scenario

To see all learners who completed a simulation with a specific patient (regardless of assignment or date):

  • Move to the Patients tab

  • Hover over the patient name and click the magnifying glass to select a patient scenario

  • Move back to the Archive tab - all relevant sessions will appear.

Filter by Date or Date Range

Use the calendar on the right on the Archive tab to define:

  • A single date

  • A custom date range

You can combine the calendar filter with any of the other filter above (name, patient, assignment).

Search for a Conversation Piece or Simulation Log

Another advanced option is to search within the conversation transcript or simulation log of each session. This allows you to find:

  • Specific phrases used during a simulation

  • Any exact-match text included in the simulation log

To perform this search:

  • Type log:”your exact search phrase” in the search field on the archive tab.

    • Example: log:”heart attack” will return sessions containing that exact phrase.

Tip: This is an exact match search, so make sure to type the phrase precisely as it appears in the log.

Search for Deleted Sessions

If you can’t find a simulation session, it may have been deleted. You can search for deleted sessions directly from the Archive tab.

To do this:

  • Type DELETED (in all caps) into the search field on the Archive tab.

  • To narrow the results:

    • Type DELETED followed by the learner’s name, a partial name, or email address.

    • Type DELETED followed by the patient name.

  • Alternatively:

    1. Select the patient from the Patient tab using the magnifying glass

    2. Switch to the Archive tab.

    3. Type DELETED to see sessions for that patient that have been deleted.
