To activate and deactivate conversations with your patient in the PCS Spark app using verbal queues, you’ll be using the Wake-on-Name feature.

You'll need to have it enabled under your simulator settings.

Once all set, start a simulation in the PCS Spark app.

To activate conversations with the "Wake-on-Name" feature you’ll need to wait for at least a 5 second silence around you for the app to know you are speaking to it. Then say a sentence with your patient’s name, like “Hello Vanessa!”.

You’ll hear a beep-beep sound signalling that conversations have been activated.

You’ll also receive a visual confirmation that conversations have been activated in the  the PCS Spark app. You’ll see that the controller’s touch surface will turn red, like this:

You can always deactivate conversations with your patient simply by saying “Thank you”.

You’ll hear again a beep-beep sound signalling that conversations have been deactivated and you’ll also receive a visual confirmation of this as the controller area previously lit up will no longer be red.
