How new simulator software versions are delivered and updated to your ALEX?

Technology, software, programming - all evolving so fast you cannot even keep up with the constant changes. While our cloud services are regularly updated, eventually, your ALEX simulator needs some updating as well, to have access to the latest feature set, the newest app user interface, and the best compatibility to the cloud server.

Updates are automatic are flexible*: you can decide to update or defer, just as you do for any other app on your smartphone, tablet or laptop.

When a new software version is available, you are prompted upon logging in to app.pcs.ai.ย 

Go along with the update or decide to do it later. If you decide to be reminded at a later time, you'll be prompted again the next time you log in to the app.

If you start the update process but realize it takes more time then you have, you can abort and resume at the next suitable time.

Updating can take anywhere from just a few minutes to a couple of hours. You can abort to a certain point but there is a part of the process when stopping the update is no longer an option and the simulator becomes temporarily unavailable.

Once the update process is complete, your ALEX simulator is ready for you again with the latest software version.

*Check your simulator software by hovering over the "Simulator battery" line in simulator settings, status tab. (Auto-update is available for simulator software version 171120 or above.)
